Kay Karssemakers wins the ADAC Youngster Cup in Gaildorf

Kay Karssemakers of Husqvarna BT Racing has won the ADAC Youngster Cup round in Gaildorf. Karssemakers came close to the win in the first moto and finished second. In the second moto he managed to win the race, which was enough to take the overall win.

The track circumstances were great on Saturday. Kay was in the second group of qualifying and managed to post the fastest time over both groups. Kay took pole position and was ready to go for the first moto.

Karssemakers took a good start in the first moto and came out of the first lap in second. He was following the leader and managed to take over the lead in the middle of the race. Kay was leading till the closing stages of the race but got passed and finally finished the race in second position.

Due to a lot of overnight rain the track was really muddy on Sunday. Kay took a really good start in the second moto as well and was leading by the end of the first lap. He was in control for the rest of the race and took the moto win. Because the third and final moto was cancelled due to the rain and the poor track circumstances, Kay had scored enough points to take the overall win.

This weekend the Husqvarna BT Racing team will race the EMX250 round in Uddevalla, Sweden.
