Kay Karssemakers and Husqvarna BT Racing second in the EMX250 Championship

Kay Karssemakers and Husqvarna BT Racing finished second in the final standings of the EMX250 Championship. Karssemakers could not get into his rhythm in both motos during the last race in the British Matterley Basin and finished in seventh place in both the first and second motos. Despite this, this was more than enough to secure second place in the final standings. In addition to Karssemakers, Maxime Grau finished fifth in the day classification and Wesly Dieudonne scored five points with a sixteenth place in the first moto.

The conditions were perfect in Matterley Basin and the track was perfect. In time practice Karssemakers managed to put a decent fifth time on the clock and Maxime Grau was inside of the top ten as well with the tenth fastest time. Wesley Dieudonne did several fastest laps and ended the session in 23rd position.

In the first moto it was Grau who rode a very consistent race and managed to cross the finish line in fourth place. Karssemakers did not get into his rhythm after a poor start. For a moment he took sixth place but failed to hold it and finished seventh. Dieudonne came out of the top twenty in the first lap and had a good rhythm in his hands. During the race he moved up two places and finished in a neat sixteenth place.

In the second moto it was Grau who took the lead immediately after the start. In the early stages he held his own in first place but had to drop the pace slightly after a few laps and fell back to fifth place. In the rest of the race he managed to hold on and scored well again. Karssemakers couldn’t get into his rhythm but fought for what he was worth and finished seventh. Dieudonne didn’t get off to a good start and had a lot of work to do to get to the front. He came close to the points but was stranded in twenty-first place.

In the day classification, Grau finished in fifth place, Karssemakers was seventh and Dieudonne took 22nd place. In the final standings of the championship, Karssemakers secured second place. Grau finished the championship in tenth place and Dieudonne finished twenty-fourth.

Kay Karssemakers op het podium in EMX250 in Turkije

Kay Karssemakers of Husqvarna BT Racing finished on the podium in the penultimate round of the EMX250 Championship in Turkiye last weekend. Karssemakers finished in fifth position in the first moto but did much better in the second race by finishing in second position.

The track was dry and fast during the practice sessions on Saturday. Maxime Grau was feeling himself at home in these type of conditions and took pole position. Karssemakers was struggling to put a decent lap together in time practice and ended the session in tenth while Wesly Dieudonne set the fourteenth fastest time.

In the first moto it was Grau who took the holeshot. The talented Frenchman was leading the race in the first couple of laps till he made a crash. Due to this he lost a lot of positions and finally finished the race in tenth position. Karssemakers was fighting hard during the opening moto and crossed the finish line in fifth while Dieudonne came close of scoring a top ten position and ended up in twelfth position.

The circumstances were completely different in the second moto on Sunday. Due to heavy rainfall on Saturday afternoon the track was much more technical. Grau took another good start but made a mistake in the first turn and crashed. Karssemakers took a good start as well and worked his way up into the lead in the beginning of the race. Karssemakers was leading for a long time but finally he got passed and crossed the finish line in second position. Grau fought his way back from last to twelfth position and Dieudonne came home in seventeenth place.

Karssemakers finished third overall and stays in second position in the championship standings. Grau finished in tenth position overall and Dieudonne ended the weekend in fifteenth position. In three weeks from now the final round of the championship will be held in Matterley Basin, Great Britain.

Kay Karssemakers on the podium in EMX250 in Arnhem

Kay Karssemakers of Husqvarna BT Racing has scored a podium finish at the EMX250 round in Arnhem. Karssemakers had to charge back through the field in the opening moto and finished in fifth position. In the second moto he was fighting in the leading group and finished in third position.

It was the home round for the team so everybody was motivated to do well. The riders are knowing the track very well but for this race it was changed on several spots. Karssemakers was determined to show his potential and took pole position in time practice. Maxime Grau and Wesly Dieudonne were also in the top fifteen with a twelfth and fifteenth time.

The first moto started with a setback because Karssemakers crashed in the opening lap and had to come back through the field. During the race he crashed another time but he kept fighting till the end and finished in fifth position. Dieudonne was riding a strong race as well and scored seven points with a fourteenth place. Unfortunately, Grau finished outside of the points.

Karssemakers started in the leading group in the second moto. He gave everything he had and was riding in second position for a long time. In the closing stages of the race he got passed and had to be satisfied with third position. With this position he finished on the podium with third place overall. Dieudonne and Grau didn’t score points in this moto.

With still two rounds to go, Karssemakers sits in second position in the championship. He is 54 points down on the leader. Grau is in twelfth position in the championship and Dieudonne sits in 27th place. In two weeks time the series continues in Turkey.

Kay Karssemakers finishes on the podium in the EMX250 race in Sweden

Kay Karssemakers of Husqvarna BT Racing finished on the podium in round seven of the EMX250 Championship in Uddevalla, Sweden. With a 4-6 in the motos he finished in third position overall. Maxime Grau ended the weekend in tenth and Wesly Dieudonne scored six points with a fifteenth position in the opening moto.

The circumstances were perfect on Saturday. Karssemakers was feeling himself at home on the track in time practice and posted the second fastest time. Grau set the eighth fastest time and Dieudonne ended the session in 21st position.

Grau took a really good start in the opening moto and was riding in second position in the first half of the race. Unfortunately he made a few mistakes and dropped back to tenth position. Karssemakers had to come back from outside of the top five and fought his way back to fourth position. Dieudonne made a few passes during the race and crossed the finish line in fifteenth position and scored six points.

The circumstances were completely different in the second moto. Due to a lot of overnight rain the track was really muddy in the second moto. Karssemakers made the best of it and worked his way up into fifth position. Unfortunately he lost one position near the end and finished in sixth position. This result was enough for third position overall. Grau worked his way up to eighth but made a crash and finally finished the race in twelfth place. Dieudonne worked his way up inside of the points but ran into a problem and had to retire from the race.

Karssemakers finished in third position overall, Grau ended the weekend in tenth and Dieudonne was in 21st position in the overall classification. Karssemakers stays in second position in the championship standings and is 46 points down on the leader. Grau sits in twelfth and Dieudonne is in 26th position in the championship standings. The next round of the championship is in Arnhem, the Netherlands this weekend.

Kay Karssemakers takes another podium position in EMX250 in Germany

Kay Karssemakers of Husqvarna BT Racing has scored another podium position at round six of the EMX250 Championship in Teutschenthal, Germany. Karssemakers was struggling to find the right rhythm in the opening moto and after a few mistakes he finished the race in sixth position. In the second moto he took a better start and came home in a strong second position, which gave him third place overall. Maxime Grau scored a seventh position in the first moto and Wesly Dieudonne took five points in Germany.

Karssemakers was really motivated to do well in Germany. He started the weekend strong by posting the third fastest time in time practice. Grau and Dieudonne were struggling to put a decent lap together and ended the session in seventeenth and 27th position.

In the opening moto it was Karssemakers who took a decent start and after a strong beginning he worked himself up into fourth position. During the race he made two mistakes and was struggling to find his rhythm. He kept pushing till the end and finally finished the race in sixth position. Grau was riding a strong race and worked himself back up from tenth to sixth position. In the closing stages he lost this position to Karssemakers and finished the race in seventh. Dieudonne did very well as well. He was riding around fifteenth position for the entire race and finally finished in sixteenth position.

Karssemakers took a much better start in the second moto and moved into third in the beginning of the race. Karssemakers started to close down the gap to the second place rider and took over this position. In the rest of the race he was riding consistent and finished in a strong second position. Grau and Dieudonne had a difficult start of the race and were outside of the top thirty. Both riders were giving everything they could and Grau finally finished the race in 22nd and Dieudonne came home in 27th position.

Karssemakers finished third overall and Grau and Dieudonne ended the weekend in fifteenth and eightheenth position. After six rounds it is Karssemakers who sits in second position in the championship while Grau has moved up to tenth and Dieudonne is in 29th position in the championship. In the weekend of 30 and 31 July the series continues in Hyvinkaa, Finland.

Husqvarna BT Racing takes a moto win and a podium position in the EMX250 round in Latvia

Husqvarna BT Racing has scored a moto win and a podium position with Kay Karssemakers at round five of the EMX250 Series in Kegums, Latvia. Karssemakers finished third in the first moto and won the second moto, which gave him second position overall.

Karssemakers started the weekend positively. He set the second fastest time in time practice and was ready to go in the motos. Maxime Grau was struggling in time practice and despite his efforts he wasn’t able to put a decent lap together and ended the session in sixteenth. Wesly Dieudonne set the nineteenth fastest time and keeps building towards his old form.

Karssemakers took a good start in the opening moto and was in the leading group during the first lap. He was riding in third position for a long time but in the closing stages he made a mistake by passing a back marker and lost third position. Karssemakers tried to come back but couldn’t make a pass stick and finished in fourth. Because a rider in front of him got a penalty, he moved up a position and was classified in third place. Grau made a small crash in the beginning of the race and dropped all the way back to the back of the field. During the race he charged back as far as he could and finished the race in twentieth position. Dieudonne finished inside of the points as well and ended up in seventeenth.

In the second moto it was again Karssemakers who took a really good start. He took second position in the beginning of the race and was keeping the leader under pressure. In the closing stages of the race he took over the lead and won the race. Grau was riding a better race and crossed the finish line in thirteenth place while Dieudonne took two points with a nineteenth place.

With a 3-1 moto score it was Karssemakers who finished second overall. Grau finished in sixteenth position overall and Dieudonne ended up in nineteenth place. After five rounds, Karssemakers sits in second position in the championship, 30 points behind the leader. Grau is in twelfth and Dieudonne sits in 30th position. Next weekend the series continues in Teutschenthal, Germany.

Husqvarna BT Racing takes with Kay Karssemakers third EMX250 podium of the season in Spain

Husqvarna BT Racing has taken a podium position at round four of the EMX250 Championship in Arroyomolinos in Spain last weekend. With a 5-2 in the motos it was Kay Karssemakers who finished in third position overall. His team mate Maxime Grau ended up in seventh with a 7-8 in the motos.

The pace was high in time practice on Saturday and the differences between the riders were small. The track was already sketchy due to the long ruts and the high speed. Maxime Grau found his rhythm immediately and managed to set the fourth fastest time in time practice. Kay Karssemakers was struggling to put a decent lap together and had to be satisfied with the fourteenth fastest time.

Grau took a really good start in the first moto and started the race in second position. In the beginning of the moto he was riding inside of the top three and later till the closing stages inside of the top five. Unfortunately he had to lower the pace in the second part of the race and finally finished the race in seventh place. Karssemakers worked his way back up from eighth position. In the beginning of the race it was difficult to make the difference but later in the race it started to go better and he managed to finish in fifth position.

In the second moto it was Karssemakers who took the best start from both riders. In the first half of the race he was riding in fourth place but in the second part of the moto he started to put the pressure on the riders in front of him. He took over third position and in the final lap he made a pass stick on the second place rider and finished the race in second. Grau started the race just outside of the top five but in a few laps he worked himself back up to fifth. Just as in the first moto he had to lower the pace a bit in the second part of the moto and finally finished the race in eighth place.

Karssemakers finished third overall and Grau ended the weekend in seventh. After four rounds it is Karssemakers who sits in second in the championship and Grau has climbed up to eleventh place. In four weeks from now the series continues in Kegums, Latvia.

Kay Karssemakers takes podium position in EMX250 Portugal

Kay Karssemakers of Husqvarna BT Racing has taken a podium position at round three of the EMX250 Championship in Agueda, Portugal. Karssemakers was riding a strong first moto and came home in third place. In the second moto he was fighting for the win and finally finished the race in second, which gave him second place overall as well. Maxime Grau managed to score eleven points in Portugal.

The track in Agueda was in the opposite direction which was a new challenge for the riders. Karssemakers was feeling well on the track and managed to set the fifth fastest time in time practice. Grau had some difficulties to ride the perfect lap and qualified himself in fourteenth place. Besides Karssemakers and Grau, Ignacio Liprandi from Argentina qualified himself as well for the race and set the 32nd time.

Karssemakers took a good start in the first moto and took third position after a few corners. He started to put the pressure on the second place rider and managed to take over this position. Unfortunately he lost this position again and wasn’t able to take it back. Karssemakers was riding a consistent moto and finished the race in third place. Maxime Grau had a difficult first moto and after a few crashes he finished the race in twentieth position. Liprandi had a nasty get off and was forced to retire from the race.

Karssemakers was on fire in the second moto. He took a good start and after a few laps he took over the lead. He was leading the race till the midway point because then he got passed and dropped back to second position. Karssemakers kept the pace high and managed to finish the race in a strong second position. Grau was riding just outside of the top ten for the entire race and finished in eleventh place. Before the race the team and Liprandi decided to sit out this race.

Karssemakers finished second overall with a 3-2 moto finish. After three rounds he sits in second position in the championship as well. Grau is in twelfth position after the race in Portugal. This weekend the series continues in Arroyomolinos in Spain.

Maxime Grau takes top three position in EMX250 Trentino

Maxime Grau of Husqvarna BT Racing has scored a top three moto finish at round two of the EMX250 Championship in Arco di Trento in Italy. After his knee surgery he is starting to find his flow and he showed this with a third position in the second moto. In the first moto he finished in thirteenth position and this gave him sixth position overall. Kay Karssemakers finished in eighth place overall with a 6-9 in the motos.

Both riders went out in time practice and were doing several attempts to put a fast lap together. The track was sketchy and slippery in places and this made it difficult. Finally it was Grau who set the eighth fastest time on the clock, just one position in front of Karssemakers.

Karssemakers took a really good start in the opening moto and worked his way up into third position. He held on to this position in the first few laps and later he was riding in fourth position. Due to a small crash he dropped back to seventh position. Karssemakers found his rhythm back and managed to pass the rider in front of him and finished in sixth position. Grau took a less good start and was riding in eleventh position for a long time. Because he wasn’t riding in a fine rhythm he lost two positions near the end and finished the race in thirteenth place.

Grau took a better start in the second moto and worked his way up from fifth to third place. He was following the second place rider for a long time and finished the race in a strong third place. Karssemakers took a good start as well but due to a crash in the first lap he dropped back to eleventh place. He worked his way up into ninth and a few laps later he took over eighth place. Due to a small crash he lost this position again and finished in ninth place.

With 13-3 in the motos it was Grau who finished in sixth position overall and Karssemakers ended the weekend in eighth place. After two rounds, Karssemakers sits in fourth position in the championship while Grau has climbed up to eleventh spot. In two weeks from now the series continues in Agueda, Portugal.

Husqvarna BT Racing and Kay Karssemakers take podium position in EMX250 Sardinia

Husqvarna BT Racing and Kay Karssemakers have taken a podium position at the opening round of the EMX250 Championship in Riola Sardo, Sardinia. On the deep sand track Karssemakers took a third overall with a 5-2 in the motos.

There were 40 riders who were participating in the event so all riders were qualified directly. The time practice counted for the starting positions. Karssemakers did several fast laps and posted the eighth fastest time. Wesly Dieudonne set the 14th fastest time and Maxime Grau ended the session in 25th position.

Karssemakers didn’t took a good start in the first moto but he was turning short in the first corner and worked himself up into eighth position. During the first lap he managed to overtake a few other riders and moved up into fifth position. During the race he worked his way up into fourth position. He kept the pace high and was in a battle with the fifth and sixth place riders. Kay lost fourth position and was under pressure from the rider who was riding in sixth position. Kay kept his head cool and finished the race in fifth position. Maxime Grau has a lack of race rhythm but he did what he could and managed to take five points with a sixteenth position. Dieudonne worked himself up into seventeenth position but unfortunately he crashed out of the race and was out for the weekend.

After his fifth position, Karssemakers was determined to do better in the second moto. He took a not so good start and came out of the first turn in twelfth position. During the first lap he already worked himself up into eighth position and in the following laps he moved up into fourth position. Kay kept pushing and started to close down the gap to the second and third place riders. He managed to pass them both and finished the race in second position. Grau made a crash when he was riding inside of the points. After the crash he was struggling to find his rhythm and due to this he didn’t score points in the second moto.

Karssemakers finished third overall with a 5-2 in the motos and Grau ended the weekend in 21st position. In two weeks from now the series continues in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.
