Lucas Coenen takes a moto win in the EMX250 round in Sweden

Lucas Coenen of Jumbo Husqvarna BT Racing has taken a moto win in the EMX250 round in Uddevalla, Sweden. Lucas had a set back in the opening moto because he was riding in second but due to a mechanical problem he was forced to retire from the race. In the second moto he took his revenge and won the moto. Sacha Coenen finished eleventh and sixth in the motos which gave him eighth place overall.

Sacha and Lucas qualified themselves in fourth and tenth on the technical track of Uddevalla. They both took a good start in the opening moto and it was Lucas who stormed into second position and started to put the pressure on the leader. Unfortunately he got a mechanical problem and was forced to retire from the race. Sacha worked his way up into third but had to lower the pace a bit and finished in eleventh position.

Lucas was ready to take his revenge in the second moto. He took a good start and was leading at the end of the first official lap. He controlled the race from then on and won the moto! Sacha came back strong and worked his way from seventeenth position back up to sixth position.

Despite his 0 score in the opening moto, Lucas still finished in sixth position overall while Sacha ended the weekend in eighth place. With still two rounds to go, Lucas sits in third in the championship and Sacha is now in eighteenth place. The series continues in Hyvinkaa, Finland this weekend.
