Disappointment for Sacha Coenen and Jumbo Husqvarna BT Racing in Germany

Sacha Coenen and Jumbo Husqvarna BT Racing were having disappointment at round six of the EMX250 Series in Teutschenthal, Germany. Coenen was riding in second in the first moto and was leading till the last lap of the second moto till a mechanical problem forced him to retire from the race. Despite this setback he showed great speed which is promising for the upcoming races. Lucas Coenen had to play catch up in both motos and finally finished seventh overall.

The track in Teutschenthal was hard en dry on Saturday. Sacha was feeling confident in these conditions and posted the second fastest time in time practice. Lucas was struggling to find his rhythm and after several fast laps he ended the session in 21ste position.

In the opening moto it was Sacha who took a really good start and was able to start in the leading group. In the beginning of the race he lost a few places but soon after he found his flow and worked his way back up to second. He started to close down the gap to the leader but with still a few laps to go he got a mechanical problem which forced him to retire from the race. Lucas took a poor start and had to come back from outside of the top twenty. He passed one rider after another and finally finished the race in ninth position.

Sacha was ready to do battle in the second moto. He took the hole shot and started to pull away from the rest of the field. With an advantage of seven seconds he went into to the final lap. Unfortunately he got a mechanical problem again and was forced to retire from the race. Lucas took a better start this time and came out of the first lap in tenth position. He found a better flow in this race and charged all the way back to fifth position.

With a 9-5 in the motos it was Lucas who finished in seventh position overall. After six rounds he sits in fifth position in the championship and Sacha is in 26th position. This Saturday they will race the final round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Rhenen.
